Our therapeutic services

We provide a range of creative therapies to support children, young people and adults to communicate in ways that feel natural to them. Therapy can help individuals to process what they have experienced and develop ways of coping with trauma.

All employed Imara therapists are fully qualified and registered with relevant professional bodies. Our approach is trauma informed and we regularly continue to develop our practice by supporting our staff through training.

All our therapists are trained in and work within the CPS pre-trial therapy guidelines and strongly align with the Bluestar project who provide training and guidance around pre-trial therapy.

Our team also includes post-graduate trainee therapists who are affiliated with their relevant professional bodies and training institutions. Our trainees are closely supervised and supported in their therapy work at Imara.

Our approach is holistic, often supporting the family members and working with professionals around the young person.
