All of our referrals relating to child sexual abuse come through the paediatric sexual assault referral centre (Coral Cove). Call Coral Cove on 0800 183 0023 or visit the Coral Cove website. Coral Cove is open 24 hours per day, seven days a week, including bank and public holidays. Go to our ‘Get Help Now’ page for more information.

Once families are receiving support at Imara, we are sometimes able to offer further sessions through LTFI (NSPCC model for family support sessions after child sexual abuse), therapy groups, parent support groups or our trans joy group.

For Children and families in Nottingham City affected by domestic abuse

We provide:

1:1 Creative Arts Therapy
We offer 6-8 sessions of individual creative arts therapy.

DART Group
We offer group support through the NSPCC's DART (Domestic Abuse Recovering Together) model. Group sessions consist of 4-6 mother & child pairs, for children aged 7-14 years.

Domestic abuse dynamics can isolate the mother and child from each other, causing them to lose confidence in their ability to communicate and relate to each other. Within the DART group, practitioners observe the mother child interactions and can celebrate positive moments in their relationship as an act of resistance to domestic abuse.
